Life and Legacy is a two year partnership of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation (HGF) and the Jewish Federation of Peoria that promotes after-lifetime giving to benefit local Jewish organizations. We are pleased to announce that the following organizations are participating:

HGF is providing training, support and monetary incentives to motivate this community to integrate legacy giving into their philanthropic culture in order to assure Jewish tomorrows.
The benefits of this program are two fold and could have a lasting positive impact on the community. When each organization secures 18 signed Letters of Intent they will receive a $5,000 grant (per year for two years; $10,000 total) from HGF as well as the knowledge that they have prepared for the future through legacy gifts.
This program will launched in April 2016 and is now in year two. Each of our organizations reached their goal, and is is now in the midst of securing letters of Intent of Year two.
Chances are you already support Jewish charitable organizations in Peoria. Have you included them in your will or estate plan? By leaving a legacy, you can assure that the traditions and institutions that mean so much to you today will exist for future generations.

We strengthen Jewish commitment by supporting educational programs that deepen identity and train our future leaders. Through our initiatives children learn to identify with their Jewish heritage and Israel, families are embraced by a strong Jewish community, and seniors live with great dignity.
Our legacy donors are people just like you, who believe that we are all responsible for each other “ Kol Yisrael Arevim Zeh la Zeh” and that a strong and vibrant Jewish future depends on thriving Jewish communities locally, in Israel and around the world.
